The Mayan 2012 Calendar Predictions - Do You Discern What They Really Stand For And Their Effect?
You hear many things regarding the Mayan 2012 calendar and predictions today. In July of 2007, the leader of the Mayan Council and all 440 Mayan tribes, Don Alejandro Cirillo, journeyed from Guatemala to Sedona, Arizona to meet with Drunvalo Melchizedek to solve general misconceptions relating to the Mayan Prophecies and 2012. There have been a number of others who spoke regarding the Mayan Calendar and 2012 in the past, but the genuine Mayan Council has been purposely speechless for more than 200 years. Now, for the first instance in modern history are they talking about their insight and the Prophecies.
The message is very audible. This is not the end, but is a totally new opening in humanity's awareness. Yes, there will be notable changes with the world and in society. We are already observing this with the recent breakdown of old financial institutions in the planet, and alterations in the planet's magnetic field. We are, as the Mayan's state in the "End of Time", an more or less 8 year period during which the changes will increase as they head towards 2012.
For the new beginnings to birth, the old, stale, ego based strategies must come to an end. Whether it is aged corporate systems, financial systems, or political systems, if they are based on deceptive, inauthentic models or premises, they must change. As we drift towards 2012, more and more changes will take place. Old systems will collapse making way for new, more factual heart based system to be created.
Ac Tah, a Mayan head who, in the past few years has come into prominence spreading his message in Mexico, asserts that 2012 is not the cessation of life, it is in fact the beginning. Changes are taking place now, and will continue to happen after 2012. Humanity as a whole will rise up in mindfulness. He says the extent of the changes that will happen and how severe they are mainly depend on the level of human cognizance. He says the best thing we all can do at the moment is to come together in unity, regardless of race, religion, creed or view.
There are other spiritual masters from Mexico, which contains one of the largest Mayan populations, who have a very much the same message. Bestselling author of The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz has recently published another book called The Fifth Agreement. He spends much of his time travelling in North America and Mexico spreading his message "Ayudame cambiar el Mundo," which means "Help me change the World," in English.
Don Miguel emphasizes the purpose of changing the world is finding equilibrium between kindness and gratitude - which is an exposition of genuine love. He goes further by saying that the earth is a living being and we humans are a portion of the organism of the earth and as such we change the world with the aid of our energy. The way we affect energy is with the aid of awareness. So, as we drift deeper into love in our energy, thoughts, emotions, words and acts, we influence our mother, the earth, in a positive way.
The bottom line is that even as there may be many changes that occur as we move close to 2012 and after, and these changes can bring up fearfulness of the unknown, we are living in a special time in humanity's history. What on the covering may look like tragedy is really the old coming to an end in order to make way for the new. This doesn't mean that there will not be bad fortune as the changes take place. When a big corporation falls many lose their jobs. When there are earthquakes, many may even lose their lives. And, while such things have always come up in human history, it does not negate the challenges and bad fortunes that occur. At the same time, however, as stated by the Mayans and other spiritual heads, in the bigger picture what is happening has been destined to happen for a very long time. And most essentially, it is bringing people to a much better world to live in.
